I am a Rock Hill native. I have been married to my husband Jae for 11 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Faith 10, and Natalie 6.

I was an elementary school teacher in South Korea. I was also a preschool Sunday school teacher for many years. Preschool is by far my favorite age to teach. I love watching these sweet children learn and grow. I love being a part of the ODS team!

In my free time, I love to bake especially with my girls. I am also active at my oldest daughters school. Whenever my family and I have a chance we go to the beach. The beach is our favorite place to visit!

My favorite Bible verse is: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I have lived in rock hill my whole life and actually grew up at Oakland Baptist Church. I have 2 sweet boys and an amazing husband. In our free time we love to play outside, garden, and take walks. 

I have always had a calling to care for and teach children. I started with volunteering with nursery here at OBC when I was in the youth group. I have now been teaching children for 5 years. I am so excited to be a part of the ODS family! One of my favorite things about teaching is watching each child learn and grow in their own way! 

My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7 - “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Originally from Ukraine, I moved to the United States in 1998. Growing up as the second oldest of 14 children, my passion for working with children started at a very young age! Over the years, I have cared for children as a babysitter, nanny, and assistant teacher. I hold an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and love watching my students walk into the classroom excited to learn.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband and our three wonderful children—two sweet boys and a daughter. We enjoy hiking in the mountains, reading stories as a family, and exploring new places. So far, we've traveled cross-country twice and plan on doing that again in the near future.

My favorite verse from the Bible is written in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I am so excited to be joining the Oakland Day School family! I grew up in Rock Hill and attended Oakland Baptist Church and Oakland Day School as a child, so it is especially meaningful to now have the opportunity to be part of the school in a new way.

I have always loved working with children and have enjoyed caring for and teaching them since my teenage years through babysitting, sports, and teaching. I was blessed to spend the past five years staying home with my beautiful daughter, Beckley, and I am excited to bring that experience and my love for children into the classroom.

I am married to my husband, Garrett, who also attended Oakland Day School as a child. Outside of school, I love baking, cleaning, embroidery, and spending time with my family. We are big Disney fans, and our favorite places to visit are Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line!

My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:26: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
