My name is Jen Starr, and I am so happy to be returning to ODS! I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 16 years. We have two children, Cooper (8th grade) and Kallie (6th grade). I am originally from Michigan, but moved to Florida, where I met my husband, and we have now lived in Rock Hill for 11 years.

 

I have been a teacher since 1998…teaching instrumental music classes to students in elementary and middle school, then taught Kindermusik classes in Rock Hill for 6 years. I taught music classes at ODS for several years, and then I taught music classes and was the lead preschool teacher for 3 and 4 year olds at a local school.

 

My favorite is teaching at the preschool level! The children are so sweet! It is very rewarding to see them grow and learn! In my free time I love to read on our porch with a cup of coffee! I love Michigan Wolverine football and NASCAR!

 

My favorite Bible verse is: Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” I want to walk so close to God, that I live within His shadow…it brings such comfort.
