INFANTS
Jen Starr
Lead Teacher
My name is Jen Starr, and I am so very happy to be teaching the infant class again this year! My assistant and I will love and care for your little ones like they’re our own. We will interact with them, sing to them, read to them, give them a wide variety of educational and developmentally-appropriate toys to explore, and encourage their growth and learning.
I have been a teacher since 1998
(I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan), then began teaching instrumental music classes at the Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School levels. I taught Kindermusik classes in Rock Hill for 6 years, while also teaching music at ODS, Westminster, and St. Anne School, where I became the lead teacher of a 4-year-old class, and then a 3-year-old class.
Preschool is my happy place! It is so rewarding to connect with the families and the children, while watching our little ones grow and develop.
I am married and have two children…two teenagers! We love the Rock Hill High School Marching Band, and I am so thankful our kids are a part of the music program!
In my free time I love to read on our front porch with a cup of coffee, snuggle with our two dogs, play handbells at our church, teach piano lessons, and cheer for the Michigan Wolverines football team!
Nicole Totherow
Assistant Teacher
I have been married to my husband for 15 years. We have two children. Our daughter Sophie is 10 years old and our son Aiden is
17 years old.
I love spending time with my family and traveling with our son for his bowling. I love being with children and babies. They just melt my heart with their smiles.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 19:26 “With God All Things Are Possible”
