I met my husband as a freshman at Northwestern High School and we have been together ever since!
We have three really great kids in three different schools. Our eldest, Turner, is a freshman at Northwestern High School. Our middle, Calvin, is a 7th grader at Dutchman Creek and baby is Ruthie and she’s a 4th grader at Mt Gallant Elementary. Our "pandemic
pup" joined our family in March of 2020, and her name is Winnie.
My greatest desires are to love God and love people, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to do both of these things at Oakland Day School! I am beyond thankful to be able to work with my sister, Diana, to love on our students and watch them learn new things each day. I love listening to the stories they share with us and I feel privileged to have an up-close view as they
learn that they can do hard things!
Outside of school, I love to photograph families and play with the plants in my yard. I also enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction and listening to podcasts while I fold laundry.
My favorite verse is
Psalm 91:4
"He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and
protection." This verse has significantly encouraged our family during trials, anxiety and even broken dreams. This verse is a reminder that the Lord is our protector and that his faithful promises are our armor.

Sutton
Hello! I'm Diana Sutton, and I have been married to my husband, Paul, for 11 years. We have two energetic and awesome boys, Russell (6) and Tristan (2). We also have a wild and wonderful pup named Ruby.
I am so excited to be part of the ODS team! My sons (and even my husband!) have been blessed by being students here, and I'm eager to share the Lord's love with a new crew of 3-year-olds!
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 55:13
"Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”
Isaiah 55:13 ESV
I can't wait to celebrate the Lord's goodness with you this year!

I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 10 years and mama of 3 girls, Bellamy (9), Hollis (7), and Isla (2). As a family we love visiting new places, playing outside in the snow or any body of water, and trying to make each other laugh by being as goofy as possible.
I enjoy interior decorating, working out, and spending time with my family.
I love teaching preschool because of the sweet nature of the students. At their young age I have the privilege of planting the seed and teaching things they’ll carry for life. I also get to help children explore and succeed as well as witness incredible achievements such as, “I did it!” in the end.
My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10. “Be still and know that I am God.” As simple as this verse is, I can relate to it in so many different ways. If I feel overwhelmed whether in my professional life or personal life, if I simply stop talking and start listening instead, I can feel a sense of peace come over me.

I’ve been married to my husband, Chris, 18 years! We have twin 13 year old boys, Bailey and Carter; and two silly cats, Tom and Jerry. Bailey and Carter are in 8th grade at Dutchman Creek Middle School. I was a music teacher in Rock Hill Schools for 17 years!
Besides spending time with my family, I LOVE to sing! I enjoy singing in choir here at Oakland, helping with the children’s music ministry, and performing with Showtime Theatre Company. I also love to be creative making T-Shirts and with my nail polish business!
I am excited to join the ODS family this year! I went to Preschool here MANY years ago, and my boys went to summer camps when they were little. I can’t wait to have fun with all of the children here this year!
My favorite Bible verse is Esther 4:14. “Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.” This has always been a special verse, because I believe God has made all of us for a purpose. We all have trials, and there are times everyday that allow us to show God’s love to a world in need of God’s love!
