I met my husband as a freshman at Northwestern High School and we have been together ever since!

We have three really great kids: Both of our boys are middle schoolers at Dutchman Creek; Turner is almost 14 and an 8th grader and Calvin is 11 and a 6th grader. Our daughter, Ruthie, is 8 years old and a 4th grader at Mount Gallant Elementary. Our "pandemic

pup" joined our family in March of 2020, and her name is Winnie.

My greatest desires are to love God and love people, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to do

both of these things at Oakland Day School! I am thankful to be able to work with Wendy to love on our students and watch them learn new things each day. I love listening to the stories they share with us and I feel privileged to have an up-close view as they

 learn that they

 can do hard things!

Outside of school, I love to photograph families and play with the plants in my yard. I also enjoy

reading fiction and non-fiction and listening to podcasts while I fold laundry. I also love walking and talking with dear friends.

My favorite verse is Psalm 91:4

"He will cover you with his feathers.

He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and

protection." This verse has significantly encouraged our family during trials, anxiety and

even broken dreams. This verse is a reminder that the Lord is our protector and that his faithful promises are our armor.

I am a mom to one amazing daughter, Hope(10). I am originally from CA, but have lived in  Rock Hill for 19 years now. I enjoy gardening and being outdoors, interior decorating and  running a small vintage and antiques business.

I love teaching preschool because of the opportunity to love and nurture these precious little people. It's an honor each day be a positive influence in these little lives.

One of my favorite verses is Hebrews 10:23

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful."

I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 10 years and mama of 3 girls, Bellamy (8), Hollis (6), and Isla (1). As a family we love visiting new places, playing outside in the snow or any body of water, and trying to make each other laugh by being as goofy as possible.

I enjoy interior decorating, working out, and spending time with my family.

I love teaching preschool because of the sweet nature of the students. At their young age I have the privilege of planting the seed and teaching things they’ll carry for life. I also get to help children explore and succeed as well as witness incredible achievements such as, “I did it!” in the end.

My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10. “Be still and know that I am God.” As simple as this verse is, I can relate to it in so many different ways. If I feel overwhelmed whether in my professional life or personal life, if I simply stop talking and start listening instead, I can feel a sense of peace come over me.

Assistant Teacher

I have been married for almost 6 years, and I have a son named James (4), a daughter named Norah Grace (2), and Bailey Baby #3 is due in February. We also have two dogs (Max and Mia) that I consider my babies too. Before I became a stay at home mom, I taught high school for 12 1/2 years. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Wofford College, a Master’s Degree in Education from Converse College, and became a National Certified Board Teacher. I have loved the education field for so long, and I am excited for this opportunity to come back.

With a 2 and 4 year old I don’t have too much time on my hands😉 However, I love to jump on my Peloton bike and tread, and I absolutely love playing with my kids! Day trips have been our new thing lately. We recently took kids to Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, NC, and we had a blast!

I love teaching this age because they are so eager to learn. Their minds are like sponges, and they are excited to learn something new everyday. Their high energy is contagious, which makes it impossible to not be in a good mood while teaching them. It truly is a blessing to be a part of their learning experiences, and I know they will find ways to teach me along the way too.

My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me."
