I met my husband as a freshman at Northwestern High School and we have been together ever since! We have three really great kids: Turner, is 13 and a 7th grader at Dutchman Creek. Calvin is 10.5 and a 5th grader and our Ruthie girl is a very tall 7 year old and she's a 2nd grader. Our "pandemic pup" joined our family in March, and her name is Winnie.
My greatest desires are to love God and love people, so I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to do both at Oakland Day School! I am thankful for the chance to work with Jesika to love on the 3 year olds and watch them learn new things. I'm also excited to get to know our kids' families. I'm also really excited about working with the ODS staff - they are a special group of ladies and one cool dude!
I love to photograph families and play with the plants in my yard. I also enjoy reading fiction and non and listening to podcasts while I fold laundry. I also love walking and talking with dear friends.
My favorite verse is Psalm 91:4 "He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection." This verse has significantly encouraged our family during trials, anxiety and even broken dreams. This verse is a reminder that the Lord is our protector and that his faithful promises are our armor.
I started off with a small family - just my mom, sister and brother. Now I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers, and a step father. My family is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I am a preschool teacher because I love kids! I love my job because I love watching children grow daily - physically and mentally! It's amazing to me!
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, especially my baby girl.
My favorite verse is:
"For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life
Or what shall a man give in return for his life?"
We're a family of four, residing in Rock Hill, SC for nearly 2 years. We have a daughter, 12 yrs of age and a son, 4 yrs of age. My husband works at Resolute, formerly known as New Indy in Catawba. I've been a stay at home since the birth of my son, and I previously worked at the University of South Carolina- College of Engineering & Computing for 8 years.
I work for a preschool because it was a path I was called to do that allows me to share my talents and abilities through nurture and love. It's a mission I accepted with Faith! I love being able to touch the hearts and minds of our future.
In my free time, I enjoy crafting, painting, meditating, listening to music, and traveling.
My favorite verse is:
"She is clothed in strength, and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25
