I have been married to my husband, Dan, for 7 1/2 years. We have three beautiful children, James (6), Norah Grace (4), and Charlotte (1 1/2 years). We have two sweet dogs named Max and Mia.
I absolutely love spending time with my family. Some of our favorite places to visit include Blowing Rock, NC, and North Myrtle Beach. Our kids love waterslides, and we love to try new restaurants.
I taught high school for 13 years, and I still love the interaction with students at all ages. I also love to work out, decorate my home for the holidays, entertain family and friends, and I have a special passion for event planning.
I am thrilled to teach preschool because of the opportunity to see the excitement of learning among children. I am looking forward to introducing fun lessons that will spark their imagination and creativity. It is a blessing to help children blossom in so many ways throughout the year.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior who gives me the strength and perseverance needed to follow his will, and I praise Him everyday for this.

I am a mother of 3 girls, ages 5, 3 and 1 and we live in Fort Mill, SC. I was raised in Rock Hill and after living in New York for 10 years, came back to raise my family near home. On the weekends, you can find me in my garage doing home projects that I eventually will have to hire a professional to help with or in my garden in the backyard where I can only get tomatoes to grow.
Oakland has a very special place in my heart because it is the church that I spent my childhood attending. I believe God placed me at this place, at this time, for a reason. Early childhood is such an exciting time where children’s personalities start to blossom and while I enjoy witnessing that and laying a foundation for their continuing education, I LOVE having a part in starting to build their knowledge of Christ that will turn into a relationship that carries them through whatever life has in store for them.
Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 11 years and mama of 3 girls, Bellamy (10), Hollis (8), and Isla (3). As a family we love visiting new places, playing outside in the snow or any body of water, and trying to make each other laugh by being as goofy as possible.
I enjoy interior decorating, working out, and spending time with my family.
I love teaching preschool because of the sweet nature of the students. At their young age I have the privilege of planting the seed and teaching things they’ll carry for life. I also get to help children explore and succeed as well as witness incredible achievements such as, “I did it!” in the end.
My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10. “Be still and know that I am God.” As simple as this verse is, I can relate to it in so many different ways. If I feel overwhelmed whether in my professional life or personal life, if I simply stop talking and start listening instead, I can feel a sense of peace come over me.

I’ve been married to my husband, Chris, 18 years! We have twin 14 year old boys, Bailey and Carter; and two silly cats, Tom and Jerry. Bailey and Carter are in 8th grade at Dutchman Creek Middle School. I was a music teacher in Rock Hill Schools for 17 years!
Besides spending time with my family, I LOVE to sing! I enjoy singing in choir here at Oakland, helping with the children’s music ministry, and performing with Showtime Theatre Company. I also love to be creative making T-Shirts and with my nail polish business!

I am excited to join the ODS family this year! I went to Preschool here MANY years ago, and my boys went to summer camps when they were little. I can’t wait to have fun with all of the children here this year!

My favorite Bible verse is Esther 4:14. “Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.” This has always been a special verse, because I believe God has made all of us for a purpose. We all have trials, and there are times everyday that allow us to show God’s love to a world in need of God’s love!
