My husband, Mike, and I have been married for 24 years and have 6 children and 1 granddaughter.

I am a preschool teacher because I love children in general, but I favor the younger ones. They are just so fun and full of life and energy! I love the joy the children bring, and the way their eyes light up when they see you. The smiles on their faces first thing in the mornings, the giggles as they are getting ready to go home, the trust that they have in me, and the love they generate day in and day out - all these are blessings to me!

My favorite verse is "In my Father's house, there are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14: 2-3

I have been married 56 years and have 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

I am a preschool teacher because of my love for children. I feel that God gave me a gift of being able to teach and communicate with young children and that he placed me right where he wanted me to be many years ago.
​
I love the joy and gratification of working with and seeing these young children come in and learn to enjoy themselves in a secure, fun, and loving classroom filled with fun learning activities and imagination. I get the pleasure of watching, helping, and teaching these children to learn and grow so much in the 9 short months their parents share them with us. The children's minds are like sponges and I get to be a part of their first learning experiences. Seeing the joy on their faces is wonderful.

My favorite scripture is Psalm 23 "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul: He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake".
Brandy McWhorter
Assistant Teacher
My husband Michael and I have been married 18 years. We have one son who is 16 years old and in the 10th grade. He attended ODS. This makes returning to ODS so special. I am a Rock Hill native and I absolutely adore this city.

I am excited to be an Assistant Teacher this year, after being a substitute at ODS last year. I love working with Pre-K children because of their joyful outlook on life. I love to encourage and help children grow by showing them God's love and the wonderful world he created.
​
In my free time, I enjoy decoration my home for the season/holiday and baking. I also love breakfast dates with my husband. We enjoy taking our son to arcades. As a family we enjoy trips to the beach, mountains and exploring new places.

My favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 13.8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
